Our Yoga Instructor Jodi Harris
Jodi Harris

Practicing vinyasa yoga is the highlight of Jodi's day, and she truly loves to share this passion with others. After growing up in Northeastern Ohio, Jodi received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a M.A. in Organizational Psychology and Ed.M. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in New York. Jodi always maintained a strong fitness routine along with her career as an organizational development specialist, including various cardio and weight focused routines.

Thirteen years ago Jodi moved to Boca Raton, and with the birth of her third child took a break from her professional career. That was when she first discovered yoga, and has been practicing ever since.

About six years ago, Jodi faced a serious medical challenge. She realized that she was relying on her yoga breathing techniques, stress management rituals, and increased range of motion that she had learned through her yoga practice. That was when she decided to step it up a notch! Jodi started to take classes at various yoga studios throughout the city and learned to appreciate the different techniques used by her many teachers. She soon realized that yoga could alleviate many physical ailments and complaints in those she loved, and decided to get her certification as a yoga instructor. Jodi received her certification through the Yoga Alliance. She is continuing her education as she studies various methods for yoga therapy to work through physical and emotional challenges. Jodi incorporates her unique background in counseling and organizational psychology, her understanding of the psyche, and her love of fitness into her yoga approach.

Our Yoga Instructor Theresa Olson
Theresa Olson

Theresa’s fitness journey began over 25 years ago attending aerobic classes and training for competitive bodybuilding. With less time and a full-time job on hand she discovered her love for the outdoors with biking, hiking, and rock climbing.

A few years ago with natural wear and tear on the body and potential injuries she discovered “Functional Training”. This method of exercise was originally developed to rehabilitate athletes, but can also be helpful for sedentary and elderly people who have lost balance, strength, and even range of motion. Theresa is certified as a Functional Movement trainer and available for individual sessions or if demand arises for group classes.

Her journey took her eventually to yoga, first as a student and soon she signed up for the teacher training program with James Kigar and Judy Weaver. Yoga has brought her to a deeper place of understanding of herself and how to cope with day to day stresses.

“It is my intention to continue my knowledge and practice of yoga and to share it with others, helping students of all ages to get to know themselves, their limitations, when to push beyond and when not to. I hope to inspire others to find passion in their practice and to find value in what yoga can offer them in their lives.”
